Solar Panels for farms are still a worthy investment and a wise choice with the high cost of electricity that continues to increase year on year. Through an attractive power purchase agreement, we can offer your farm a free solar PV system allowing you to half your energy costs.

We’ve installed solar PV systems at farms all over the country, and will typically reduce your electricity spend by 50%.

Energy intensive farms
If you operate poultry, pig or dairy farms, it’s likely that energy is one of your biggest costs for running your farm. Similarly, farms that need specialist equipment to chill/store produce such as vegetables and grain will also have the same concerns, with these costs – increased annually by the energy companies – threatening your profit margins.

Half your energy costs with free solar
With many farms not having available funds to invest in a solar PV installation, a power purchase agreement (PPA) will allow you to take advantage of a free solar PV system and then purchase back the electricity generated on-site at a pre-agreed rate, typically around half of what you pay your current energy supplier.

A PPA is commonly put in place for a 25-30 the year period with maintenance of the system also provided at no cost throughout the term.

A free solar PV system will also enhance your green credentials and give your farm a better position when supplying to retailers that are campaigning for greener supply chains.
